The worst and best of days
What a tumultuous time we have had. Since I last posted, things went from bad to worst. I was rushed to hospital just before thanksgiving for an emergency bowel operation. It was touch and go for a few days. I had an aggressive and psychotic reaction to the morphine. They then thought I was having a heart attack and sent me to another hospital. Turned out I had Pneumonia and Blood clots in my lungs. I was in a very bad way for a week. Thankfully my wonderful husband was the best nurse and I am so grateful to have him. My loving family were worried sick being home in Australia. Luckily I pulled through. I had been home a week and lost the crown off my front tooth.
I am now healing slowly and have at last received my residency. Only problem is I can't work for maybe 3 months. The dogs and cats are all well and as loving as ever. I am so very thankful that we have such wonderful friends here who have been keeping an eye on me and sending food. My wonderful family are as supportive as always and call often. I miss them so very much. Apparently I called for my Mummy while ill. So now it is onwards and upwards. We will have a poor Christmas, but I am alive, and that is always better than any gift I could receive.
