Still hunting...but
Hi all, I am still searching for the elusive employment. I am limited to casual which tics me off! BUT, I have published a book of poetry called Reflections, a Life in Motion. It is available on kindle and on www.amazon.com . Just look for my name or title. Paula has a new house, it's lovely and has a pool! We will be celebrating Christmas with Paula this year. My foot has gone back to normal for the moment and I have slight damage to my ulnar nerve. Otherwise I am in good health. I am trying to write again but finding a PAID job is paramount at the moment. Spending 3 hours a day finding and applying for work and going through the papers isn't much fun. I get a bit frustrated at the employers not informing me of progress or if I did not get the job. Furbabies, feathered friends and David are all doing fine. Willy has been banished from outdoor life after being beaten up and is now an indoor cat. Have a Merry Christmas everyone :)

2012, thank goodness it's nearly over.
Well, the last half of this year has sucked!!! After being fired from my job...for being unable to fulfil my role, I have not been able to get another one. I injured myself back in February, got stress fractures in my Tibia and Fibula from walking up too many stairs. I have contracted psoriatic arthritis because of the injury and now my left ankle is continually painful and it swells up constantly. I also have a trapped ulnar nerve in my left arm, but thankfully that will sort itself out. Because I have issues with my feet, I can no longer work in the mining industry. I can only do 20 hours a week work and am limited to how long I can stand or type.
But we will fight on! Our dream of moving back to the USA is now on hold...unless we win lotto!! Doggies are all good, but Willie cat has been banged up lately. David thinks he may be fighting, which is a worry as he's little for a tomcat.
I am starting to write again and will keep you informed of any writings I finish.

A sausage roll - my own recipe
Jackie’s sausage rolls
Ok, I make these different every time but have written out the one I like best. You can basically add any tasty flavouring to sausage rolls.
1 packet frozen 6 sheet puff pastry
Ingredients
1 sausage mince roll
300-500gm beef or turkey mince
½ packet French onion soup mix
1 egg
3 tblsp of each Tomato sauce and BBQ sauce
1 tsp garlic
1 onion cut finely
1 cup sage and onion stuffing mix
Egg/milk wash for sealing and glazing
Variations/extras
Cheese slices
Bacon
Finely chopped vegies
Curry powder
Chillies
Preheat oven (fan forced) to 200c or 220c normal.
Take pastry sheets from freezer to defrost.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl using hands.
Place ½ slice cheese on the edge of pastry sheet that’s been cut in half.
Top with sausage mix and roll, brushing with milk to seal edges together.
Brush tops with egg wash mix and sprinkle with poppy/sesame seeds if wanted.
Bake in over for 15-20 minutes (my oven sucks so it is tricky with timing).
Enjoy
July 2012
Well, I was fired from my job on the 9th July and am now unemployed. I was let go while on compo so am looking into my options there. Onto the next phase! Dinky dog was fixed and microchipped this month. Willy is allergic to some cat foods and Eisha needs a haircut. Otherwise all is well.
