October is here!

It's already October and we've only had 2 blogs this year. We have bought our house and have a contract for deed with my bro in law. We also have 2 additions to the menagerie. Furby, which we think is a border collie cross has joined the family. She is fixed, about 4 years old and untrained. She was tied up 24 hours a day as her owners had no time for her. She got a shave, bath, flea and worm treatment on arrival and has just had her rabies shot. Lovely cuddly girl, but very hyper, so we are trying to train her, but since she has never had any, she is a challenge! She has had a few run ins with Max and Buddy but is settling in nicely. Wally is our second addition. He was found outside Walmart by my nephew Simon who has been staying with us while travelling the USA on a working visa. He is a cute loving kitten about 3 months old who came with upper respiratory illness. He is on antibiotics and will be fixed soon. Simon was here for about 3 weeks and seemed to enjoy his visit. I unfortunately only got to spend a short time with him due to working 2 jobs. He left this week for Chicago and is then off to Dallas to hopefully find work for a while. I have had numerous illnesses and am still on blood thinners. Mostly bronchial, as per usual! Hopefully next year will be better health wise!

Healing and working

Spring has sprung in the Burg and Looney Lucy has had the snip. She is now being introduced to our yard, and I can already tell she'll be naughty! I have been back to hospital again for my stomach and had some tests done. I have the all clear and am very relieved. We haven't been out and about much as with my hours at Walmart and my cleaning job, I don't find the time. I usually work weekends now so we have been a bit housebound. Spring has been weird, Everything flowered for a week or so, and the lawn grew quickly. It has gone from being 27c to 16c in one week and lots of storms. Tornado season too which scares me. I miss my family but am doing well.
