On the hunt once again.
Well, got fired this week. Personality clash to say the least. I will miss the ladies at the office though. Now I am back to job hunting in a market that is not kind to the over 50 female. Thank the Goddess we have savings or we'd be up the creek.
This time, I am going to try to apply myself to a structured day writing on the novel "The Magicke Group" so that I can keep a semblance of day work hours. That way it won't be a shock to go back to the 9 to 5 grind. Oh how I hate office hours! Maybe I should look for a position on the night shift somewhere?
I can't believe that at 50 I still have no idea where my path lays. I think I took so many wrong turns when young that it has overgrown.

Oh what a year!
Well, I am officially over working. This Property management lark is way too stressful. Not enough pay, too much stress, everyone complains. Happy go lucky me changed in the past six months to almost nervous breakdown me! To cut a long story short, one week of formal training and thrown in the deep end. I won't say any more as I don't want to sound whiny.
My poor sis in law is having a worse year than me and has a sick partner, and her foster dad died, now her mum has had a heart attack. Thank goodness she's one strong lady and has healing fur kids to cuddle with.
David was supposed to go home for thanksgiving but put it off so long that he isn't going to make it.
One gets tired of life sometimes. I am so over scrimping and doing the right thing and getting nowhere. I don't have the energy to be interested anymore. Now if we had a little extra moolah, that would make a huge difference. But on my salary, we are just getting by. Being over 50 and working a 40 hour a week job 9 to 5 is so not me. I am a work alone kind a gal. I also work better in a less people oriented environment.
Christmas will be quieter this year. My sis has moved back east and my other sis is off to Bali for Xmas. Not even sure what we will be doing this year!
Maybe 2014 is my year...sigh... I certainly hope so.
The pups are doing fine, Dinky is as sweet as ever, and has switched friendships with the cats. Now he loves Lissa girl and snubs Willy. Eisha is getting old, she's 11 now and seems to have gone deaf poor love. Max and Buddy are fine and both as playful as ever. I love my fir babies, I don't think I could have made it this year without them.
Buddy's healing antenna is as good as ever, he's now letting me know if one of the kids have an owie. He followed Willy everywhere when he grazed his tail.

A new job!!!!
I have a job! YAY. I am a property Manager and am doing my course in a couple of weeks. It's quite different from what I normally do so I am learning so much. 150kms just in 2 weeks for house inspections and showings! It's interesting and I am meeting people. The people I work with are great, friendly and helpful. As you can imagine, I ask loads of questions!
On a sadder note, we have lost two family doggies in the last few weeks. My brother's dog Mystery had to be put down due to illness, as did my sister's dog. Very sad for the family as we are all animal lovers.
Not a lot has changed at home, David is still learning lines for An American Buffalo, a play he will be doing at the end of this year. Dogs and cats are all well. Dinky cries every day when Mum goes to work, but I hope he'll get used to it.
Mum is off to England next week to see her sis and best friend. My nephew Cory is in the Conquer Cancer endurance ride at the end of the year and is busy raising funds.
So it's onwards and upwards, hopefully to new happier times. :)

Well it's a new year, same story
I am officially frustrated at searching for work. I apply on average for 20 a week, get about 4 out of that that send "I regret to inform you" emails. The rest don't even bother replying! Makes me angry. Still waiting for a job I applied for 6 weeks ago to contact me again. Had enough, I am a good worker and enthusiastic, what more do they want?? So I am bored, impatient and snappy. But at least I have my furkids to keep me going, and David is good at cheering me up. I have been babysitting my gorgeous niece and nephew though. :) Izzie and I made bread on the last visit, turned out lovely :)
