New Job for the new year

Hi all, well, I am starting off 2012 with a new job. I am going back to mining at Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation in the SW of WA. I will be working as a process operator on a fly in-fly out basis. 2 Weeks on, one off. I think David may find it hard initially and I will certainly miss him and all the fur and feather babies, but we need to save money if we ever want to buy a house. Sometimes in life you have to sacrifice. William is growing and getting cheekier by the day. He and Dinky love to wrestle and he attacks anyone who walks past. He has unfortunately killed his first dove, but I have ordered a CatBib to help stop that. I had a lovely xmas with my family at Kings Park, while David opted for golf. New Years will probably be quiet for us, and then it's only 9 days until I head off for my new job. Woohoo!!

New furbaby December 2011

Yes, we have yet another addition to the Menagerie! His name is William the second, David calls him the Tiger. He is very cute and was initially sick with a gastric/worm bug. I "rescued" him from a pet shop. He had been dumped and the pet shop owner looked after him and 5 others in the litter for 2 weeks. He is doing very well, and thinks Dinky is his Mummy. He tries to suckle, and needless to say, Dinky is not impressed! We have been busy with Christmas plans and looking after all the babies. They are almost as much work and expense as kids!
