Ok, we have a watermelon plant that popped up all by itself, our new Sundowner and Golden Delicious apple trees and my wonderful 2 year old plum tree which gave us bumper crops since planting. :)

Holidays are coming

Woohoo, just booked a holiday for me and Mum in Albany for 5 days in January. So looking forward to some R&R. We plan on doing a trip to Denmark, Freycinet Bay and of course the whaling museum. It's a pretty town, so should be some nice things to do and see. Haven't been there for over 15 years so am very excited. Of course, have booked a semi-posh hotel, but we are being frugal and taking some of our own food. YAY

Summer is here, oh no!

Well, the heat has hit. I am hot and fed up and summer has just started! Expecting 40c over christmas, not happy.. I want snow! I want cold. I hate summer with a passion...unless I am living at the beach, which unfortuately, I'm not. I am in need of a vacation, somewhere cold! I have hols coming in January so may have to take my Mum to Tassie for a cool change. Hubby isn't much of a travel fan so he'd be happy staying home with the babies. I'd miss my furkids, but furmums need holidays too. Have added some snow pics to make you feel cooler. :)

Bath time

It's bath day for pooches..big news in our house. This afternoon we will be ATTEMPTING to bath Buddy. Now ...Buddy loves the hose, the sprinklers and the dirty water in the pond out back, but start the bath filling up and he heads for the hills. I usually end up wetter and cleaner than he does and my bathroom and lounge smell like wet dog for the day. This time...I am going to cheat a little and make use of the pond out the back yard and attempt to hold him still for a wash. Should be interesting considering the little b...... likes to jump out of the bath before Mum has finished. Maybe this time we'll be chasing him all over the yard (aka dirty sandpit!). So off we go.........
Mission accomplished, with said Mum being wetter than puppy dog.

My First Blog

Hello all, I have at last created a Blog to keep everyone up to date with news and pics etc. My name is Jackie, or Aunty Witchypoo, and I am married to David. We have 4 beautiful dogs, Eisha, a 12 year old American Cocker Spaniel, who is the boss lady, Buddy (aka Baby Buddy Buggy Bumper) who is a 7 year old Border Collie with hip dysplasia but can outrun us, and Max (aka neurotic Maxy) who is a 8 year old Border Collie with crop circle tendencies and Dinky Doodle Bug, a 4 year old Shitzu/Lhasa Apso who is the apple of our eye. We also have Lissa cat who tries our patience by bringing home her "catches", and Willy the puppycat who thinks he's part dog. We are a Furbaby family and if I had my way I'd be an animal hoarder! (picture cat/dog lady with 20 assorted babies running around). I'm not much of a people person, but do love my family dearly and my few close friends. Hope to chat soon.
